Features:- -Repositioning of cartridges in the 4 port locations allows the player to adjust the club to provide - - Higher or lower launch angles as desired - Combat either a slice or a hook - Vary ball spin, more or less, as needed for better carry in the air. - The perimeter weighting provided by the cartridges will lessen twist at impact and produce straighter shots. - In conjunction with the rapid fire shafts which help overcome inertila drag by turning the toe to square on the downswing, this means the Quattro XL can be used by any talent level including the slow swingers.
Various weight positions - what they do:- Note! It is essential that the player fill up each port hole with a cartridge at all times, and that the screws are firmly tightened. 1 - Both heavy copper cartridges in the 2 forward ports - both light aluminum cartridges in the 2 rear ports- - This yields a lower ball flight. 2 - Both aluminum cartridges in the 2 forward ports - both copper cartridges in the rear ports- - This creats a higher ball flight. 3 - Both copper cartridges in the 2 heel ports - both aluminum cartridges in the toe ports- - This fights a slice. 4 - Both copper cartridges in the 2 toe ports - both aluminum cartridges in the heel ports- - This fights hooks and pulls. 5 - Players should experiment with other diagonal arrangements of the cartridges, such as- A - 1 copper cartridge in the front heel and 1 in the rear toe - and the 2 aluminum cartridges in the remaining open ports. B - ! copper cartridge in the front toe and 1 in the rear heel - and the 2 aluminum cartridges in the remaining open ports. For some players these may be more optimal positions.
It is important that you do not change weight positions while playing a round of golf! This would be a violation of USGA rules and disqualify your round.
Loft selection - general guide:- - Many if not most players need more ball carry in the air to increase distance off the tee. The way to do this is to select a sufficiently high loft. Higher lofts tend to reduce side spin and slicing. While Tour players can use lofts well below 10 degrees, few others can generate enough acceleration to get a high enough launch angle. - Should the player front weight the ports with heavy cartridges he can expect a 1 to 1.5 degree lower launch angle. - Should the player rear weight the ports with heavy cartridges he can expect a 1 to 1.5 degree higher launch angle.
- The general recommendatios below assume a neutral weighting, before any adjustments:-
- 8 deg.- For players who carry the ball from 235 yards and up. -10 deg.- For players who carry the ball from 190 yards and up. -12 deg.- For players who carry the ball between 160 yards up to 185 yards. -14 deg.- For players who carry the ball less than 160 yards
New Rapid Fire multi flex shaft selection The swing speeds listed below are for your current performance with your current clubs.
- XS - extra stiff - > 105 mph - S - stiff - 95 - 105 mph - F - firm - 90 - 100 mph - R - regular 80 - 95 mph - A - seniors < 80 mph - L - ladies < 70 mph
Swing speed alone is not sufficient to precisely determine the right flex. - If you have a very quick tempo you might consider moving up a notch in stiffness. - If you have a flat swing, more a baseball player path, you might consider moving up a notch in stiffness. - If you have a very upright swing you might consider moving down a notch in stiffness and using a more flexible shaft. For more on this subject, see Shaft Trimming.
With a good pass at the ball, players will find that our new Rapid Fire Multi Flex shafts will increase swing speed. To see how the shafts work, click here.
